Engraved by hand, Not by Laser
Most "custom engraving" is a machine reproducing a font. It's fast and it's fine, and it looks exactly like what it is.
Hand engraving looks like a person made it. The line has weight and variation, the script can be adjusted to the curve of the object, and the guest gets to watch it happen — which is the part a machine can never deliver. On a fragrance bottle or a piece of jewelry, that difference is the entire reason the gift gets kept.
It also means we can work on curved, irregular and delicate surfaces that a laser bed can't accommodate.
